Seaspan Vancouver Shipyard Modernization

Seaspan’s Vancouver Shipyards was selected to build the non-combat vessels under the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy. The Shipyard Modernization Program requires the construction of several buildings, offices, cranes and other infrastructure, as well as the installation of state-of-the-art equipment. Seaspan is investing approximately $200 million into the yard to complete these infrastructure and technology upgrades. The construction activities will result in a modern, efficient shipyard that is sized to meet the needs of the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy and provide the potential to compete in international markets for commercial shipbuilding work.
